OSSC CGL Exam Pattern 2024

The revised version of OSSC CGL Exam Pattern 2024 has been shared below. There will be two stages in the exam. Stage-I: Prelims and Stage-II Mains Examination. Candidates need to clear both stages to move forward in the selection process. 

Stage I: Preliminary Examination

• The Preliminary Examination will contain 150,marks
• The details about the type of questions, mode of examination, duration of the examination, number of questions etc. will be shared in due course on the website through Notice.  

Stage II: Mains Written Examination

The exam pattern for the OSSC CGL 2024 main examination has been shared below.

• There will be two papers of 200 Marks.
• The Paper-I will be of language (Odia and English) & Paper-II will be of General Studies
• For Language, a total of 80 questions will be MCQ which is to be answered in OMR answer sheet.
• The Questions about Precis Writing and Translation will not be MCQ and will have to be answered in Question- cum-Answer Booklet.
• 80 MCQs will carry 80 marks. Translation and Precis questions will carry 20 marks.
• All MCQ will invite negative marking for wrong answer.
• The Pattern of General Studies will be objective type only.
• Mathematics tests shall be held only for the posts of Auditors.
• The Pattern of question of Mathematics will be MCQ type. 
• The Candidates for i) Auditor (ii) Inspector of Endowments (iii) Junior Assistant (HOD) (iv) Junior Assistant Posts are required to qualify in the Computer Skill Test. 

Stage III: Certificate Verification

• Aspirants numbering 1.5 times of the vacancies advertised (both post and category-wise) shall be shortlisted for this round based on the marks secured in Mains. 
• Candidates who pass the written test, mathematics/skill test (if applicable) will receive an invitation from OSSC to participate in the OSSC CGL Certificate Verification process.
• There won't be any viva.
• Candidates will have their names removed from the OSSC CGL final selection list if they fail to appear for the OSSC CGL Certificate Verification round.

OSSC CGL Salary Details

Candidates interested in the OSSC CGL examination 2024 must be keen to know the salary details of the Grade “B” and Grade "C" posts. Candidates selected by the Odisha Staff Selection Commission will be given pay scale with all additions in Level-9 of ORSP, 2017.
